During the pre-production of the film, the American crew and cast members came up with the idea of flying to England in a coach rather than the first Class. Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher’s stage mother heard about the idea and hurriedly called George Lucas. She complained and said that she feels insulted with the idea of her daughter riding in the coach class. The actress was also in the same room when George Lucas was talking to the mad mom. After a few minutes, she asked Lucas if she can contact her mom. When the director handed her the phone, she said “Mother, I want to fly coach, will you please just shut up?†and dropped the phone. Nice!
