George Lucas has not indicated yet if he plans on making another Star Wars movie in the future. With how his last three films had been received by Star Wars fans, the possibility seems to be very slim to none.
What fans are now anticipating is the impending release of the Star Wars movies on the new Blu-ray format. This will be the first time that the Star Wars movies will be released on a high definition format so expect rabid Star Wars fans to lap up this new release even if they already own the movies in other formats.

Uh-oh. Looks like the Stormtroopers don’t know where to side!
The Stormtroopers were first seen in Star Wars. Of course, those were the evil soldiers who proved themselves worthy of the name antagonists as they were vital in (some parts of) the movie. Now, the Star Wars genius Lucas and costume-maker (for all the Star Wars EP) Andrew Ainsworth are suing each other and the Stormtroopers are trapped right in the middle.
So, what’s the issue all about? Well, Lucas sued Ainsworth for copyright infringement since Ainsworth sold the costumes of the Stormtroopers for 1,800 pounds each. Yes, 1,800. Well if you think Ainsworth was the bad man here, stop. No court decisions have been made yet and honestly, the issue of copyright is quite hazy because no written copyright was made—all Lucas claims is that of implied copyright. It was his idea, his film, his talents and his costumes as well.

Becoming a Jedi requires commitment, as Jedi instruction is structured and codified to enforce discipline and hinder transgression. The Jedi Code is portrayed as being the central philosophy and dogma. Several versions exist. By the time of the Clone Wars it included many fairly esoteric prohibitions far removed from the core beliefs of a Jedi, such as a doctrine that training shall only begin in infancy. However, throughout all of these changes there was a central, core part of the code that remained the fundamental belief of a Jedi.
- There is no emotion; there is peace.
- There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
- There is no passion; there is serenity.
- There is no death; there is the Force.
The Star Wars roleplaying game supplement “Tales of the Jedi”, published by West End Games in 1996, added a fifth line “There is no chaos; there is harmony”, falling between the third and fourth lines above. The video game Knights of the Old Republic published in 2003 also featured this five-line version. However, all others before or since, going back to the Code’s original form as first presented in the 1980s Star Wars Roleplaying Game have only the four lines above. The Star Wars official website still currently features the four-line version as well.
The code was the focus of meditations on the Force by the Jedi Master Odan-Urr, a veteran of The Great Hyperspace War.
During the restructuring of the Jedi Order by the now Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker, a new code was established for easier interpretation for the newer generation of Jedi. The code retained the same core beliefs as the millennia old code, rewritten for better understanding.
- Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.
- Jedi use their powers to defend and protect, never to attack others.
- Jedi respect all life, in any form.
- Jedi serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy.
- Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.

Star Wars has recently been adapted into manga comics. What’s the difference? Mainly, the art. The manga version of Star Wars comics heavily utilizes the characteristics found in manga: big eyes, large mouths, very focused on expression. Storywise, however, the comics remain faithful. On the other hand, for those who have a taste for the western art might find the comic version (which most probably came before the film) an interesting change in perspective, since comics have their own manner of narrating. What may be even more interesting it to study how your favorite characters are rendered in both versions.

Here’s a controversial theory concerning the nature of the force. Well, at least, a particular aspect of it. The Force is, in part, force as defined by Newton in his second law of motion. Included in the so-called Force powers are powers like the push, the throw, the jump, and other powers that have to do with movement. Force, according to Newton is equal to mass times acceleration and the aforementioned force powers can be interpreted as, more than anything else, a manipulation of the variables in Newton’s formula. The push, the throw, the jump; these have to do with the manipulation of either mass or acceleration.
The force = mass x acceleration.
May the Force be with you.

The popular line, which almost-automatically brings Star Wars to mind, “May the force be with you”, has a number of underpinnings, and questionably philosophical in nature. Not to mention the distinction made between the “light side” and the “dark side”. In this sense, Star Wars gains a lot of meaning despite its detachment from reality. This theme of good versus evil gains a whole new depth, especially in the character of Darth Vader. The inner conflict present in each character and in their development in the story can only bring you to realize that there much more in this story than you had expected.
